We are seeking a Sales Manager for a successful and growing industrial distributorship based in Chicago. This is a key executive leadership role and will lead and mentor a team of 10+ field representatives. Candidate must have proven sales management experience (leading a team). Field sales ideal, but could have been an inside team.Ideal candidate will have experience in distribution, manufacturing, chemical/oil, transportation or logistics industries. Proven success managing a team, establishing sales strategies, training, and hiring staff.Responsibilities:
Daily, weekly, monthly interaction with sales team to mentor, coach and inspire sales progress
Develop individual goals, evaluate and structure sales activities
Work with suppliers on special pricing and programs
Provide guidance, support, training
Collaborate with main supplier on programs, pricing, new product training, etc.
Requirements:
Highly organized with technical competency (MS Office Suite, CRM Conversion)
Understand the dynamics of dealing with multi-level sales people (veterans and entry level)
Leadership and decision making skills
Proven skills developing and implementing sales strategies, design structure and accountability to sales processes and techniques
Experience developing and marketing promotions/incentive programs a plus
Create an atmosphere of team collaboration, accountability, and encouragement
