Role:
You will be accountable for seeing product features through the entire process, from concept to launch and will collaborate with all areas of the company. You will work with design and engineering to define product requirements. You will work with marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with sales and key customers.
Responsibilities:
Analyze the marketplace, gather inputs from customers, and assess competitors to determine product objectives and requirements
Develop an in-depth understanding of the needs and usage profiles of our target customers and prioritize solutions for those needs
Define and implement product roadmap features, balancing product objectives with specific customer requests
Work with designers to help define a great user experience
Work with engineering to scope features and understand trade-offs
Monitor progress through the product development lifecycle
Work with Marketing to develop positioning and go-to-market plans
Evangelize our product and drive a shared vision across the company
Support sales by meeting with prospective and existing customers
Requirements:
5+ years of experience working at a life sciences company with a focus in commercial analytics or managed markets
3+ software product management experience
Self-starter who is comfortable working with a high degree of independence and accountability
Strong analytical skills
Good presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) including experience presenting concepts to senior executives
Past experience dealing directly with customers
Demonstrated ability to be an effective change management leader
Bonus Points for:
Computer Science/Engineering/Economics or similar background
Previously managed a product feature from idea through launch
Past experience with SaaS solutions and/or start up experience
Familiarity with data science/machine learning
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team
Agile Certified Product Owner
