Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues including: setting individual sales targets with sales team; delegating responsibility for customer accounts to sales personnel; coordinating sales action plans for individual salespeople and overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team
Manage resources and performance of the team including: ensuring sales team have the necessary resources to perform properly; monitoring the achievement of sales objectives by the sales team; partnering with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives; coordinating and monitoring online sales activity
Coach and provide training to the sales team including; the evaluating performance of sales staff; providing feedback, support and coaching to the sales team; planning and directing sales team training
Drive overall sales management and operations of the team including: assisting with the development of sales presentations and proposals; investigating lost sales and customer accounts; tracking and interpreting sales figures; forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales revenue; formulating sales policies and procedures
Attend trade meetings and industry conventions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 plus years’ sales management and/or sales operations experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
Sales team management is required
Experience in sales strategy and execution
Insurance and voluntary benefits experience
The ability to lead the completion of RFPs, fine-tune sales presentation skills and client deliverables
Operationalize and drive the team to success; high level of enthusiasm and focus to keep team focused on results of the business
