Client is in turn a subsidiary of a foreign owned investment holding company that has recently purchased the company. The work environment is collaborative. The Finance team is made up of seasoned professionals who are highly credentialed and have deep insurance experience.
The Client seeks a Manager of Investment Operations. The role is newly created due to the need to decouple the investment operations from the former parent company. The portfolio size is in the $4BB range made up mostly of fixed income products with 1/3 of that in structured assets. The successful candidate will have experience with trade execution and settlement, onboarding, performance and risk reporting. Family office, trading floor, or operations for an investment manager background is most desirableResponsibilities:
Manage operations for directly and indirectly managed fixed income and alternative investment portfolios with $4 billion in assets including trade settlement and supporting trade execution, oversight of regulatory and accounting aspects of the portfolio, LPA/IMA/PPM/Subscription agreement analysis and negotiation, assess cash position and partner with asset management to enhance liquidity management.
Prepare global investment performance and risk flash reporting utilizing Clearwater Analytics and Bloomberg
Develop, implement and administer investment guidelines and insure regulatory compliance.
Present to C Suite executives and Investment & Finance Committees.
Manage relationships including internal and external audit, vendors, sub service organizations and third party managers.
Administration including onboarding broker dealers, assess and implement trading platforms, resolve daily issues that may arise with bank, pricing, brokerage and/or vendors, managing inbound and outbound billing, manage transfers and crossings among Sirius entities, and support internal capital movement and transactions.
Liaise with Corporate Accounting
Participate as needed with Corporate Finance projects such as M&A, capital/debt raise or LOC’s
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
MBA or Master’s degree from a top school preferred.
CFA is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Strong knowledge of middle or back office operations in asset management/trading business and/or family office experience.
Trade execution experience desired.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
Experience with Bloomberg a plus.
Strong sense of ownership, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Detail minded with good problem solving skills
Self-starter and roll up your sleeves work ethic.
Proven track record in multi-tasking efficiently and managing effectively
Great interpersonal skills and presentation
Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
