The ideal candidate for this role will have a track record of excellence in building channel sales. The Director of Channel Sales will join our client as a senior level individual contributor with the ownership and the responsibility of growing the channel business. The position will report to the VP of Sales.

  • Identify and engage top VARS/Resellers and key industry channel partners/
  • Collaborate with Channel partners to identify and understand sales opportunities, awareness and drive sales.
  • Provide sales presentations with prospects articulating our Client’s value proposition and market differentiators.
  • Work closely with all internal Client stakeholders to insure revenue growth.
  • Manage full life cycle sales process from prospecting to deal close.
  • Actively prospect and open new partnership opportunities.
  • Attend and participate trade shows and industry events.
  • Must be able to operate in a virtual business setting.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of business development opportunities that support and exceeds target sales quotas.
  • Overcome deal objections, negotiate and close the deal.
  • Accurately and regularly report sales pipeline to management

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of a “hands-on” sales background in channel sales/
  • 5+ years of indirect sales and business development experience in infrastructure software space.
  • Strong network and contact base.
  • A verifiable track record of performance exceeding goals and targets.
  • Highly motivated to find and win new channel sales partners.
  • A strategic thinker who can tactically deliver results.
  • Must be a opener and closer/finisher.
  • Must have a relevant experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, corporate, finance, product development, marketing and operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill set and executive presence.
  • Self-starter who can develop fresh opportunities and innovate.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • The ideal candidate will be located in the NYC metro or mid-Atlantic Region
