Requisition Id: 405The Director Employee Engagement will be responsible for developing and executing world class employee engagement and retention strategies for Client, a fast growing software startup.
The Director will have ownership of all company wide related policies and programs, working with the recruiting team and the shared human resource function of our affiliate. Offices in Boston and Chicago as well as groups of employees in New York, Atlanta, Saint Louis, and Europe. Preferable candidate will have deep experience in engagement and retention programs with the ability to hit the ground running developing and executing related strategies and programs. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively when needed, to establish effective processes and help build the team.Essential Functions
Build and execute on a world class employee engagement and retention program including training, events, team building, recognition, morale etc.
Develop and manage talent orientation and assimilation processes, including new hire training, feedback and process improvements, post onboarding.
Partner with leadership team and align all efforts with our mission and values.
Partner with talent recruiting team and our shared payroll and benefits teams.
Assist with other projects and responsibilities, as needed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in successfully managing and improving employee engagement and retention.
Results and people oriented.
Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive.
Strong leadership and coaching skills.
Strong written and verbal communications, organizational planning and problem solving.
Must be a team player and have the ability to work with a variety of different personality types.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate sound judgment, strategic thinking, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritize and take initiative, work well under pressure, and maintain confidential information.
PreferredStaffing experience and HRIS management strongly preferred.
