Our client is hiring a leader for their collection area. This Specialist will be managing 3rd party collections with a large focus on accounts in bankruptcy. The Specialist will maximize collections while keeping a positive working relationship to ensure future sales opportunity.The Specialist is responsible for managing these accounts including how the collection process is handled, when an account is sent to an outside agency or if it is written off as bad debt. You are responsible to support any outside agency work to maximize collection and minimize debt expense. You must work with the accounting department to ensure outside collection agency activity is properly posted and balances are up to date. You must interact with both internal and external customers and provide a communications network including all inter-company departments to improve processes and efficiency.

$55-$60K base with lucrative bonus potential.

REQUIREMENTSBachelor Degree5 -10 years of collection experience, preferably in a collection agency, law firm or other Third Party collections settingProven track record of collecting from troubled accounts, reducing receivable balances, bad debts and DSONegotiate, draft and set up Promissory Notes and negotiates settlements with accountsAbility to recommend credit limits, terms and security to be used when there is a request for new credit with a previous troubled account.Strong communication, negotiation, written and verbal skillsAbility to quickly and independently develop unique solutions to complex matters as well as experience with SAP, Excel, Outlook and all Windows applicationsFamiliarity with the legal aspects of collecting debt including the ability to manage an account from lawsuit to judgment through asset executionKnowledge and experience of all facets of Chapter 7, 9, and 11 of the Bankruptcy Code including drafting and filing Proofs of Claims
