Successful supplier to the automotive industry is currently searching for a Cost Accounting for their Iowa facility.

 As the role shall determine the cost price of items sold by the company, you will work with various parties within the organization to ensure that deadlines are met and prices are accurate. More specifically, the Cost Accounting Analyst will be responsible for the following activities:

• Updating standard costs annually;
• Determining and setting cost prices for existing products;
• Setting cost prices for new products;
• Integrating cost prices into the activity based costing system
• Handling all project related financial reviews and analyses;
• Continually improving how information is processed within the department (standard costs, activity based costing models, etc.);
• Training and providing support to users of the activity based costing system;
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting or other related field;
• Two (2) to four (4) years relevant experience;
• Sound command of activity based costing;
• Excellent command of spoken and written
• Knowledge of SAP (an asset);
• Able communicator and capable of working independently and as a team player;
• Highly driven to meet deadlines.
