As part of my Resume Writing Process I ask my clients to send target positions they are pursuing.I also ask about recent interviews and results.I continuously see target jobs and hear about unsuccessful job interviews where the job seeker and the position a misaligned and unproductive.Need I mention a waste of time?How frustrating is it to send out your resume and not receive an reply?How debilitating is it to go on multiple interviews only to be told they hired someone else?If you not a perfect fit "on paper" for the position, the location, the culture, the industry or anything else they say they want, then you must figure out a way to make yourself more attractive or utilize other ways to approach the company.Find someone within the company to be your champion.Find someone they do business with to recommend you.Find someone who knows someone within the company.I have done all of these in the past to successfully land jobs for myself, family members, friends and my clients.What strategies have you employed to successfully land a new job?
