INTERVIEW ETIOUETTEBe very careful NOT to become too familiar during an interview. DON'T sit down until the interviewer does or invites you to do so. DON'T smoke or chew gum, sit up straight with your feet on the floor, NEVER touch anything on the interviewer's desk, and avoid using profanity even if the interviewer does so. Be aware there is a double standard at work here. Offensive behavior is much easier to recognize in someone else than ourselves. Also be very careful with humor: Use it ONLY in the appropriate spots and in GOOD TASTE.
