Every week I hear this from new clients. If you are submitting your resume without a response, then you need to change your game plan.

Recruiters are receiving hundreds of resumes for every posted position. Many, if not most of those resumes are not a fit. Most of the rest are not engaging enough for the reader to visualize the applicant working in their environment.Recruiters receive so many resumes that they may not even get to yours. When my Daughter was applying for her first position in Psychology, we cross-referenced the best opportunity and organization we found on Indeed.com with her and my contacts on LinkedIn.We identified people she knew well who were connected to hiring authorities. She asked the best connection to forward her name and background to the the right people within the organization. The result? She successfully interviewed and and was hired within 21 days. Keep in mind she was a great fit and had experience outside of school that we made sure to highlight on her resume (which of course, I wrote). You need to be pro-active in how you approach your target companies and opportunities.I can help you with your resume, cover letter and online profile. I can help you identify connections. I have a plethora of recruiters in my network.Contact me at gary@garylouisnelson.com or click here to reach my contact page on my site.
