Now that I am back in Recruiting I am reminded why so many smart, educated, experienced professionals get ignored in the recruiting process.

1. You are not a fit! I am receiving resumes from professionals for jobs I posted who are not a fit-not even close!2. You might be a fit, BUT, others are a better fit. I am receiving resumes from job seekers who are are a better fit but, do not have specific industry experience and my client WANTS industry experience.3. Your resume does not represent you properly. Need I say more? This site is full of resume help and reasons why resumes fail to get attention. I have re-written the resumes for a LOT of now successful job seekers.4. You MAY be willing to relocate but, others live within commuting distance OR have a compelling reason to relocate.These reasons are just the top ones that you can do something about. You can apply to jobs you fit by position and industry. You can have a resume that is compelling and a fit for the job and you can address the relocation issue to make your case.None of this excuses not receiving a reply!
