This post is number 5 in a series designed to help you write your own resume and put your skills and accomplishments in a format that will appeal to all those strangers out there who will be viewing your resume.

Now that we have the top "Marketing Message" done it is time to move to the very bottom of the last page of your new resume.This section is reserved for your Education, Professional Development, Professional Certifications, Professional Affiliations, Community Service and Technology.In the Education section place your college.university degrees with the most recent first. Under Professional Development goes the pertinent training you have undertaken in the last 3-5 years. Under Certifications will go your ITIL, CPA, MCSE, CISSP type certifications. Place your PMI, AICPA, TLA and any professional groups you hold memberships under Professional Affiliations. Community Service usually includes organizations such as the Red Cross and United Way not coaching your kids. Technology is a great place to put pertinent technology you utilize. A Hands-On Technology Professional will have a lot to share while the rest of of may want to showcase familiarity with specific tools.There are guidelines and you may have to exclude some sections depending on space.Please share your thoughts and let me know if I can be of assistance.The next "How to Write Your Own Resume" posting will delve into Professional Experience.
