Searching for a self-starting Business Development Executive in the Houston, TX market. $250K OTE.
As a Business Development team member you will be responsible for achieving assigned revenue and new account objectives for a defined Territory. The ideal profile for this role is a Pure Hunter and an individual who has at least five or more years of experience selling IT infrastructure into the enterprise (experience with storage is valuable but not required).
Preferred candidates should have a proven track record of consistent sales success across large territories, with an emphasis on developing new territories and driving new account sales.
Responsibilities:
Development and execution of a territory plan that includes targeted accounts and key business and ecosystem partners
Consistent prospecting/calling into new accounts identified in your territory plan
Timely follow-up on new opportunities delivered to you from the inside sales team and marketing
Maintain current information on all account, opportunity and forecasting activity within Salesforce.com
Become an expert of company's value proposition and how to translate our technical capability into business value for the customer
Understand our competition and how to position our strengths and sell around any weaknesses we may have
Consistently achieve quarterly revenue objectives and make sure that revenue commitments are kept
Collaborate with the Executive Team, Sales Management, and Marketing to increase the effectiveness of your sales campaigns
Manage installed accounts in a way that ensures customer satisfaction and ensures repeat revenue
Other tasks will include sales plan reviews, weekly forecasting reviews, and quarterly sales review with the sales management team
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent work experience
Five or more years of direct selling experience of IT Infrastructure to the Enterprise
Storage industry experience highly desired, but not required;
VMware knowledge and experience is a plus
Experience in both start-up and larger technology companies is a plus
Must have excellent communication and people skills and the ability to sustain business relationships
