First in a series of posts on "nailing" the interview. The key thing to remember going into an interview is that unless you come away with an offer, everything else is academic. You must approach the interview as a two-step process: FIRST, focus 100% of your energy on making the company want you, THEN, turn your attention to deciding whether you want to go to work for them. DON'T play "Hard- To-Get": Appearing enthusiastic and interested WILL NOT reduce your bargaining power. An interview provides a limited forum in which to sell yourself and you should do the very best you can to accomplish that goal. Once you get an offer, there will be plenty of time to go back and analyze the situation.
