Ask Gary:Talked to a client yesterday who asked if she still needs a resume. I just read another article this morning stating that resumes are no longer needed and you need to just tell a company how you can help them.

So far, in all of my discussions and meetings with recruiters who are actually placing and hiring professionals today this is not true!The FIRST thing they ask for is the resume! What you should have is a great resume AND a 1 page Bio that presents your skills geared to what you want to be doing going forward. You should also have a 1 pager for each target opportunity so you can hand it to someone within the company as you circulate and network.
