
Every week I talk to job seekers in transition. They are looking to transition from Military service to a Civilian job or from a Government contracting company to a Commercial company.

Their resumes are full of Military and Government acronyms and situations that are not going to appeal to the Recruiter or Screener or System trying to decipher their resume. In fact, they will just move on to another resume that is more appealing.You need to put yourself in their position and visualize what they need to see in order to select you from the hundreds to thousands of resumes submitted.Look at the job description AND look at the company. You think you are a perfect fit for the job but what is the culture of the company?Who are they hiring? How can you show them that you can immediately make an impact?Share your concerns.
